SUPPORT BRACKET INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

HARLEY-DAVIDSON STD.

READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETLY BEFORE STARTING WORK.

 

[1.] Cut out the outer perimeter of the side template #S-HLD-8702

[2.] Cut out the outer perimeter of the back template #S-HLD-8703

[3.] Fold both templates at the marked line

[4.] Affix the side template with tape to the side of the tower directly under the fuel tank assy.

[5.] Use 1/8" size drill bit to drill a mark on the top that is marked #1

[6.] Use 1/4" size drill bit to drill a mark on the bottom holes that is marked #2

[7.] Remove the drilling template from the right side, and then affix it to the left side

[8.] Perform the same drilling procedure on the left side

[10.] Affix the back template from the inside of the game on the wall by the access hole to the steering mech part# S-HLD-8703 using drill size bit 1/4" for both holes

[11.] Use 1/4" size drill bit to drill through both holes marked #2

[12.] Use 1/8" size drill bit to drill through both holes marked #1

[13.] Remove the template

[14.] Remove the steering handle assy

[15.] Remove the fuel tank assy

[16.] Remove the centering mech assy

[17.] Disconnect all connectors

[18.] From the inside of the centering mech. access hole reach in and remove the #6x12" red screw that is mounted on the top. (not the bottom one)

[19.] Go back to the marks that you made previously on the sides and drill holes through

[20.] Now you are ready to install the support bracket, which is part # S-HLD-1101-BR

[21.] Install the bracket from the inside and then insert the 6 carriage bolts "1/4x20" that are supplied with the kit

[22.] Insert the two carriage bolts 8-32x1.125, on the top two holes where you were you previously removed the two red screws.

[23.] Don't forget to install the nuts supplied with the kit

[24.] Replace everything that you removed previously, and make sure you plug the connectors.

[25.] Test Game after Procedure is over.

AS A RULE OF THE THUMB THE TEMPLATES SHOWN SHOULD FIT EXACTLY ALONG THE SIDES OF THE REAR CABINET, AND THE REAR TEMPLATE SHOULD NOT BE WIDER THAN THE ACCES HOLE ON THE FRONT CABINET.

TEMPLATE #S-HLD-8702 IS USED FOR BOTH SIDES OF THE REAR CABINET.
